Who is eligible to attend Practicum?

Anyone who is enrolled in or has completed Moving Towards Artful Coaching.
(Candidates can apply to start their Practicum while completing Coaching in the Context of Work if they meet certain requirements.)

What is the difference between the Face to Face format and the Virtual Format?

The Face to Face format comprises of a total number of 6 practicum labs which are held at the Adler school on designated lab dates. The time for these labs is from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM ET

The virtual format is for those who are unable to come to Adler. There are 10 labs facilitated via telephone on the bridge line on designated lab dates. The time for these labs is from 7 pm to 9 pm ET.

What is the time frame for the Practicum?

Practicum covers a period of approximately 7 months from official Practicum Start Date to official Practicum Completion date.

What does Practicum Start Date Mean?

Practicum Start Date refers to the official start date of your Practicum which is usually about 30 days prior to the first Practicum Lab date. It is the day you:
  1. are required to pay for the Practicum
  2. can start logging hours with clients for the purposes of practicum requirements
  3. can start logging hours with your coach for the purposes of requirements
  4. when you will have access to the practicum ducuments

What does Practicum Completion Date Mean?

Practicum Completion Date means the last date available to you to submit your Practicum Binder. Completion date is usually 30-40 days after the date of the last lab. Submission of Practicum binder is the final step in Practicum and it is submitted when you have completed all Practicum requirements. If you have not completed all the Practicum requirements and the Practicum binder is not received at the school , by the Practicum Completion Date, then the student will therefore not complete Practicum, and will need to apply for a Practicum extension (a Practicum extension fee will apply).

How do I sign up for Practicum?

Spaces per practicum group are limited and there is quite high demand. You can secure your seat in a particular Practicum Group by putting down a deposit of $100 + GST. This deposit ensures that you will be in the specified Practicum Group. Upon paying for your Practicum, the deposit will be subtracted from your total owing on Practicum Start Date. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. You can be put on a waiting list for a particular Practicum Group if a group is full, and you will be required to pay the deposit, should a seat open up.

What if I need to withdraw from the Practicum?

Practicum Refund and Handling Fees are as follows:

* Add GST to all prices shown below)

Withdrawal from Practicum Base amount refundable Non-refundable deposit Handling fee Total Payable
10-45 days prior to first Practicum Lab Full fee less deposit and handling (see right) $100.00 $100.00 $200.00
